Phlebotomist

Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possible Extension)
 
Schedule Notes: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm. Mon - Fri, No holidays
 
Job Summary:

• Under general supervision and according to specified procedures, performs routine laboratory activities such as patient receiving, venipuncture, computer data entry, and other related duties including lab clinical functions.

 
Education:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.

 
Required Certification & Licensure:

• Must have a valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver's license and the ability to be insured by a HFMG Insurance Carrier.

 
Skills:
6 months to one year on the job experience in venipuncture required.
 
Schedule:

• In-person interview (30 minutes)
• Responsibilities include:
  • Drawing blood
  • Rounding and transporting items from clinic to main lab
  • Handling 20–25 tubes per session
• Minimum Experience: 5+ years preferred
• Must have experience with straight needles
