Location: Hialeah, FL, 33012
Duration: 4 Months
Shift/Time Zone: Monday -Friday 6am-3pm & Every Saturday 6:30am-11am. Must have flexibility for availability between 6am-3pm, depending on location to be covered for the day.
Job Description
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the front-facing representative of the organization, providing high-quality patient care and accurate specimen collection. This role includes drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment. The PSR II ensures trust, safety, and accuracy while delivering exceptional service across various clinical settings, including doctor’s offices and patient service centers.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection, including venipuncture, capillary draws, pediatric and geriatric collections, and specimen processing.

Verify patient identity and demographic details; ensure all tubes are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence and documented appropriately.

Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation according to company standards.

Promote a positive, professional image with patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.

Provide excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy with all patient information.

Travel between multiple sites as needed (floater role), arriving on time and ready to work at each assigned location.
Job Requirements

Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts based on staffing needs.

Compliance with all company policies, including dress code, safety standards, and performance expectations.

Strong decision-making skills based on established procedures and professional judgment.

Reliable transportation (bus, Uber, or rideshare not acceptable), valid driver’s license, and clean driving record for float positions.

Ability to travel to multiple locations with minimal notice.

Strong multitasking ability to manage priorities in a high-volume environment.

Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset; ability to adapt to change and support team goals.
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws (Required)

Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred)

Customer service experience in retail or service industries (Preferred)

Keyboarding and data entry skills
