Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift
Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Cheshire, CT
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 3 months
Pay Rate: $21/hr (W2)
Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, welcoming patients for routine health visits or life-defining medical decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring all procedures follow established practices. This role requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients while performing phlebotomy skillfully, safely, and accurately.
The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality while maintaining accuracy in all patient information.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices.

Maintain required records and documentation accurately.

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements:

Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education & Certification:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months of work experience; 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience required.
