Position: Phlebotomist I
Location: Ellenton, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM + Rotational Saturdays

Role Overview:
The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the face of the organization, ensuring accurate and safe blood collection while maintaining patient trust and confidentiality. Responsibilities include drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and adhering to established procedures. The role demands professionalism, process excellence, and strong patient interaction skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor direction.
• Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens confidently.
• Maintain records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image and uphold organizational commitment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Mandatory in CA, NV, WA).
• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (1+ years preferred).
• Excellent phlebotomy skills (including pediatric & geriatric).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry skills required.

Additional Details:

• Candidate must reside within 20–25 minutes of Ellenton, FL.
• Reliable personal transportation required (rideshare/bus not acceptable).
• Must maintain punctuality and full-shift availability; excessive absenteeism/tardiness leads to termination.
• Pay rate based on direct phlebotomy experience per Southeast rate card.
