Job Title: Phlebotomist II – Float
Location: Lake Worth, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Summary
The Phlebotomist II – Float represents the face of our company to patients, providing exceptional service and accurate specimen collection. This role requires advanced phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and flexibility to travel between multiple sites in the Lake Worth area.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.
- Create a welcoming environment, explain procedures clearly, and ensure patient comfort and trust.
- Verify patient demographics and labeling accuracy post-venipuncture.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection confidently and accurately.
- Float between multiple sites as needed, sometimes with minimal notice.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Experience:
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (rideshare/bus not acceptable).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
Additional Details
- Floaters must travel between multiple sites and be punctual at each location.
- Mileage reimbursement available for travel between sites (not from home).
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
- Excessive absenteeism/tardiness will result in termination.
