Position Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a key role in the daily operations of our regional client supply fulfillment center. This position is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse tasks, including receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. The ideal candidate will maintain a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork while ensuring efficient movement of goods through the facility.

Position Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a key role in the daily operations of our regional client supply fulfillment center. This position is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse tasks, including receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. The ideal candidate will maintain a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork while ensuring efficient movement of goods through the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Receive, inspect, and process materials into the facility and enter receipts into the Materials Management system.
- Notify the Warehouse Supervisor of any discrepancies or damaged materials.
- Identify and report short-dated materials (less than 30 days shelf life).
- Store materials in designated areas and rotate stock based on receipt and expiration dates.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories.
- Maintain accurate records and proper documentation.
- Pick, pack, and prepare internal and external orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and electric walkie stackers (certification preferred).
- Prepare shipping labels, documentation, and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Assist in packaging, pallet preparation, and truck loading.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety, compliance, and operational policies (OSHA, CLIA, EHS, etc.).
- Support process improvement initiatives and make recommendations for efficiency gains.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of related warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (data entry and inventory systems).
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing and walking for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
Skills:
- Proficient with hand carts, pallet jacks, flatbeds, tape guns, and other warehouse equipment.
- Forklift certification or experience (preferred).
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
Working Conditions:
- Temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
- Requires regular standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Safety shoes required (lace-up, steel-toe optional; athletic styles acceptable).
- High slip resistance preferred.
- 1-day leniency policy for compliance with safety shoe requirements.
