Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6:30-4:30, Saturday 7a-11a.
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the organization in a professional and compassionate manner. This role is responsible for performing high-quality blood specimen collection and processing for clinical and forensic testing while maintaining strict adherence to safety, accuracy, and confidentiality standards. The PSR I builds patient trust by clearly explaining procedures and delivering services in a skillful, safe, and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities

Perform blood specimen collection (venipuncture and capillary draws) for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

Process, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures

Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection with accuracy and professionalism

Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA)

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
-
Demonstrate leadership behaviors and support process excellence initiatives

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public

Complete daily tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
Required Skills and Competencies

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws
-
Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency with keyboarding and data entry systems

Reliability, punctuality, and schedule flexibility
Education Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience (Required)
-
One or more years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
-
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (Preferred)

Data entry and computer experience (Required)
Schedule and Availability
-
Must be flexible and available based on staffing needs
-
Includes weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as required
-
Must arrive on time and remain for the entire scheduled shift
-
Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination
Transportation and Location Requirements

Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the worksite
-
Public transportation, rideshare services, or being dropped off are not considered reliable transportation

Resume must include home city and estimated commute time

Commute time must be within 20–25 minutes of the job site
