Job Description:
position is within the Protection Services department at Client - does not need this background but must have strong project management experience. The project being managed is in relation to a series of controls across HR, Security, Legal, and Compliance we need to put in place to combat some security risks.
• Will this role be fully remote? Yes
• What is the expected schedule (include dates/time/timezone) We need this person to start as soon as we can get them onboard. The end date is not determined at the moment but there will be enough work for at least a six month engagement. Since this project spans across Eastern and Pacific timezones, I’m not sure it matters much which time zone this person is in. I am in eastern so maybe that would be easier for coordination but there may be meeings scheduled that are more pacific friendly so that would be okay too.
• What are the day to day job duties? This is a project manager to help us establish target dates, remain on track, coordinate various meetings across several different work groups, and then create several report outs to leadership.
• Top Skills Required: project management, communications, and other associated skills.
• Required Education/Certification(s): PMP and/or Agile Scrum Master would be preferred
• Required Years of Experience: 3-5 years
Summary:
Responsible for large scale, complex and/or long duration projects and project teams made up of internal and external resources to deliver business solutions and services to the department. Interacts closely with internal staff, external corporate departments, and Health Plans to define the project parameters and develop detailed project documentation to include business requirements, project plans, project schedules, workflow solutions, and project status reports/communications.
Projects may vary to include the following: system implementations, internal/cross functional department process improvement initiatives, implementation of new state health plans, and implementation of new product lines.
Essential Functions:
Manages all aspects of assigned projects throughout the development project lifecycle including project Product, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change.
Develops and maintains detailed project plan to include milestones, tasks, and target/actual dates of completion. Revises project plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Prepares and submits project status reports to management.
Schedules and conducts project meetings to include logistics, agendas, and meeting minutes.
Conducts regularly scheduled project status update meetings.
Develops process workflows as it relates to assigned projects and/or to support internal process improvement initiatives.
Interfaces, when appropriate, with all areas affected by the project to include internal subject matter experts, external corporate departments, and Health Plans. Acts as a liaison for department on enterprise wide projects.
Collaborates well with all levels of personnel within the company; and provides exemplary customer service.
Complies with required workplace safety standards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
