Job Description
- The ADI Planner/Scheduler provides planning, organizing, logistical, and coordination support for ADI field-device deployment.
- This includes administering work requests, coordinating scheduled jobs related to ADI Field Devices, pLTE provisioning/cutovers, and associated follow-up activities.
- The role ensures work readiness, supports resource optimization, and provides status visibility to the ADI Construction Project Manager.
Position Concept
- Operates with limited direction, partnering closely with the ADI Construction Project Manager to provide logistical and coordination support for field-device deployment.
- Monitors materials, equipment, and communication hardware, assisting in optimizing construction-related resources across ADI, Telecom, and Planning & Scheduling.
- Prepares a rolling four-week look-ahead schedule and participates in Plan of the Week meetings.
- Reconciles material issues, validates invoices, resolves discrepancies with Procurement/AP, and supports monthly accruals.
- Provides visibility on status and variances to the ADI Construction Project Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide planning, organizing, logistical, and coordination support for ADI field-device deployment.
- Administer work requests and coordinate scheduled jobs related to ADI Field Devices, pLTE provisioning/cutovers, and follow-up activities. (25%)
- Monitor materials, equipment, and communication hardware for work readiness; assist in optimizing construction-related operating resources across ADI, Telecom, and Planning & Scheduling. (25%)
- Prepare a four-week look-ahead of planned work and participate in “Plan of the Week” meetings to review upcoming schedules with the ADI Construction Project Manager.
- Handoff construction documentation and schedules to ADI contractors. (25%)
- Reconcile material issues with Warehousing and Plant Accounting; validate invoices and resolve discrepancies with Procurement/AP.
- Support monthly accruals and provide status/variance visibility to the ADI Construction Project Manager. (25%)
- May function as a Team Leader or serve as backup during the absence of the ADI Construction Superintendent.
Key Internal:
- Planner-Schedulers, ADI Core Team, Distribution Engineering, DCC Operations, ADMS Modelers/OT, Telecom (pLTE), Procurement & Warehousing, Accounts Payable/Business Planning
Key External:
- Contractors, OEMs/integrators, design vendors, municipalities, permitting authorities, HOAs/community groups, customers impacted by planned work
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Associate degree, two-year technical degree, or relevant technical certification
Related Experience
- Required: Minimum 5 years of operations experience in underground and overhead distribution construction, field distribution design, or lighting design, including progressively more complex assignments. College degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
- Preferred: Proven leadership on projects of complexity and diversity.

- Self-motivated with strong analytical, organizational, and project coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with internal and external stakeholders

- Knowledge of energy delivery operations or other major departments within an electric utility environment
