Job Title: Mammography Tech
Location: Cincinnati, OH - 45248
Duration: 3+ Months (Local Contract)
Schedule: Day | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Mon - Fri
Pay range: $60 - $70/hr. on W2
Pay Travel: $2500 - $2800 Gross weekly
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a high-performing Breast Imaging team. This role requires strong technical expertise in mammography and ultrasound, along with the ability to support radiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures. The ideal candidate brings precision, patient empathy, and a commitment to quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality mammography imaging in alignment with Breast Center standards, ensuring accurate positioning, proper imaging views, and operation of mammography and ultrasound equipment.
- Assist radiologists with procedures including breast cyst aspirations, needle localizations, and core needle biopsies, while adhering strictly to radiation safety and quality control protocols.
- Deliver exceptional patient care by providing clear procedure explanations, addressing concerns with empathy, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring a smooth, low-wait-time experience.
- Accurately document patient history and clinical markers, manage patient data within Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and prepare all required documentation including consent forms and prior imaging retrieval.
- Support administrative and operational workflows by managing imaging records, processing exam updates or cancellations, handling patient communications, and collaborating effectively with radiologists and clinical teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Mammography experience
- Active Mammography Registry (ARRT - Mammography Certification)
- Strong knowledge of mammography and ultrasound equipment
- Understanding of sterile techniques
- Completion of 15 Continuing Education (C.E.) hours in Mammography
