Job Title: Phlebotomist
Duration: 4 months
Location: Suwanee GA
Shift: M-F 9:00AM - 2:00PM
Job Overview:
The PSR II serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients to collect quality blood specimens and ensure proper preparation for lab testing. This role emphasizes professionalism, accuracy, and customer service, building trust and confidence with every patient interaction. Assignments may include working in doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe, professional, and clean work environment.
Perform high-quality forensic and clinical specimen collection, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Confirm and verify patient demographics and collect patient signature post-venipuncture.
Label and confirm specimen tubes in the presence of patients.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and colleagues to promote a positive image of the organization.
Adhere to company policies including dress code, health & safety, and operational standards.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors, confidentiality, and a commitment to process excellence.
Job Requirements:
Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills (including pediatric and geriatric collections).
Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
Must follow company policies and procedures without deviation.
Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
Reliable transportation (rideshare and public transit are not acceptable).
Willing to travel between multiple locations with short notice.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Comfortable working in high-volume environments and handling multiple priorities.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
Required Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
Requirements:
Training may take place at different locations depending on trainer availability.
