Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our imaging team. This role involves performing dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs to assist in diagnosing diseases and organ dysfunctions. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in general ultrasound and a willingness to learn echocardiography if not already experienced.
As a sonographer, you will perform a range of imaging procedures using advanced sonographic equipment and provide high-quality patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served. You will also act as a key point of contact between patients and the healthcare team, ensuring diagnostic needs are met efficiently and compassionately.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic images of internal organs and structures.
- Perform general ultrasound exams; echo experience is a bonus but not required.
- Produce quality radiographs, adhering to established protocols and patient safety guidelines.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and assist physicians with interpretations as needed.
- Prepare and educate patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document findings appropriately.
- Take call as scheduled and respond promptly when on-call.
- Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Sonography program.

Certification:
- RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) – Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a sonographer.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide patient-centered care with attention to detail.
- Must be comfortable taking call and responding to urgent imaging needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in echocardiography (echo)
- Willingness to cross-train or further develop skills in echo is highly desirable.
Additional Notes:
- This role is suited for a travel or contract sonographer, and candidates must live at least 100 miles away from the facility.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and meet all credentialing requirements.
