Overview

The IT Project Coordinator supports the IT Project Management Office (PMO) by assisting Project Managers in deploying IT solutions that meet business needs. This role is key to Clients digital transformation initiatives, working closely with developers, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Execute assigned project tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Leverage Agile practices when applicable
  • Ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to project governance



Key Responsibilities



Project Coordination & Support

  • Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and tracking project tasks
  • Manage project documentation and maintain central repositories
  • Monitor cross-project dependencies
  • Prepare presentations and coordinate meetings


Financial Tracking

  • Manage project financial trackers for forecasting and spend
  • Update project-related financial systems


Quality & Compliance

  • Act as SDLC/IT Project Quality SME for assigned projects
  • Maintain quality deliverables, including SDLC/Quality plans and metrics
  • Ensure all QA deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Lead and facilitate quality inspections of project artifacts
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX) throughout the project lifecycle


Testing & Defect Management

  • Plan and coordinate all testing phases:
    • System, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Define test Product, strategy, cycles, timelines, and resource needs
  • Ensure test environments, tools, and data are prepared
  • Manage the defect lifecycle (triage, reporting, resolution)
  • Facilitate performance testing and adjust schedules as needed
  • Guide project teams in test script development
  • Report on quality and testing status throughout the project



Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, or a related technical field (required)
  • Project management or Agile certification (desired but not required)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT project teams; Quality Analyst experience preferred

  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role

  • Financial acumen for project budgeting and tracking
  • Analytical skills to identify risks and make informed decisions
  • Proven leadership and collaboration abilities
  • Flexibility to manage multiple projects in a changing environment
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and visualizations)
  • Ability to manage workload independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong presentation, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams



Desired Skills

  • Experience with Planview for resource and financial management
  • Quality management tools, e.g., OpenText ALM / Quality Center
  • SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative)
  • Power BI report creation (or similar tools)
  • Confluence, Planview, and other Agile tools
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge (SOX, etc.)
  • Automated testing tools and processes
  • Introductory Scrum or Agile certification/training
  • AI-based testing experience (nice-to-have)
