Job Location: Chicago, IL
Job Duration: 3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm with rotating Saturday, 7:00am - 2:00pm CST
Payrate: $25/ hr. on w2

Job Summary:
- The PSR II serves as the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health services or life-defining health decisions.
- This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring patient comfort and confidence during procedures.
- The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors while maintaining process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Assignments may include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately, efficiently, and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
- Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established protocols.
- Verify patient demographic information and initials; ensure proper labeling and signature verification post-venipuncture.
- Maintain required records, documentation, and compliance with company procedures.
- Promote organizational commitment and a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Demonstrate superior customer service and communication skills with patients, peers, and supervisors.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- 2 years experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service industry highly preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry skills.
- Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must exercise good judgment and follow established procedures.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
- Flexibility to work multiple locations, weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Commitment to company policies, dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence principles.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent phlebotomy skills for pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients.
- Superior customer focus and ability to communicate openly and transparently.
- Ability to adapt to change and embrace process improvements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
