Job Location: Fayetteville, GA
Job Duration: 2 -3 Months
Shift:  This position is for a floater so the hours would need to be flexible, but we can go with 8:00A, - 5:00PM.
 

Position Overview:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the frontline representative of our organization, interacting directly with patients during routine health visits or critical diagnostic procedures. The PSR II is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and maintaining professionalism and accuracy at all times.

This role requires a high level of skill in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric collections, as well as strong communication skills to create a welcoming and trustworthy environment for patients. The PSR II must demonstrate leadership behaviors, uphold confidentiality, and deliver consistent excellence in a fast-paced healthcare setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen processing duties accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.

  • Create a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and colleagues.

  • Collect both forensic and clinical specimens while adhering to established protocols and procedures.

  • Verify patient identity and demographics; confirm accurate labeling of specimens in the patient’s presence.

  • Maintain required documentation and records in accordance with company policies.

  • Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, and the public.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational commitment and uphold company values.


Job Requirements:

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent venipuncture skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

  • Commitment to all company policies and procedures, including dress code and health/safety standards.

  • Ability to make sound decisions using established procedures and good judgment.

  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for float positions).

  • Must be able to travel between multiple sites with minimal notice.

  • Strong multitasking and time management skills.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to change and contribute positively to team and business goals.


Education & Certifications:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Preferred: Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant, Paramedic).

  • Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (REQUIRED in California, Nevada, and Washington).


Work Experience:

  • Required: Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center setting.

  • Previous experience in customer service (retail/service environment) is a plus.

  • Proficient in data entry and use of electronic health records.


Additional Details:

  • Floating PSRs are expected to travel between multiple sites and must be punctual at all assigned locations.

  • Must maintain a clean driving record.

  • Mileage reimbursement is available for floaters.

  • Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.

  • Applicants with 5+ years of phlebotomy experience, especially with pediatric collections, are strongly encouraged to apply.
