Job Description:

The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining patient trust through accurate, safe, and skillful procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
- Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
- Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Exhibit leadership behaviors and uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.
- Flexible and available for varying schedules including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in phlebotomy required.
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Additional Details:
- Position requires both patient interaction and administrative documentation.
- Must adhere to safety protocols and organizational policies.
