Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, providing a welcoming, professional experience for patients visiting for routine health services or significant health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining patient trust through accurate, safe, and skillful procedures. The role requires adherence to confidentiality, organizational policies, and leadership behaviors while promoting process excellence.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
• Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.
• Exhibit leadership behaviors and uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.

 
Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.
• Flexible and available for varying schedules including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

 
Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).

 
Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months experience in phlebotomy required.
• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
