Phlebotomist I

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, creating a welcoming and professional environment. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while adhering to established procedures. The PSR I ensures patient comfort, maintains confidentiality, and performs all duties with accuracy and care.

• Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the supervision of the area supervisor
• Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures
• Draw blood specimens safely, skillfully, and accurately (including pediatric and geriatric patients)
• Maintain proper documentation and required records
• Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients to build trust and confidence
• Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and adherence to company standards

• Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent phlebotomy skills
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
• Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere)
• Valid phlebotomy license (required)

• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (preferred)
• Data entry and basic computer/keyboard skills (required)
