Phlebotomist I

The PSR I serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing a professional, trustworthy, and positive experience. Responsibilities include drawing quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring accurate documentation while following established procedures. The role requires sensitivity to patient confidentiality, process excellence, and leadership behaviors.

• Greet patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures.

• Draw blood and collect clinical and forensic specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.

• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing according to established practices.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient and specimen information.

• Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

• Perform daily tasks accurately, efficiently, and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold confidentiality standards.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Strong customer service skills; experience in retail or service environments preferred.

• Keyboard and data entry proficiency required.

Education & Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of work experience required.
