Position Summary
Real world evidence (RWE) has become a vital complement to the traditional clinical trial in the demonstration of the value and safety of new medicines. Recognizing its importance, Client has established a core Analytics group within the Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) - Organization to support the use of RWE across the discovery, development, and lifecycle of our medicines. Members of this group will be fully embedded alongside their Clinical, Medical Affairs Research (MAR), and Global Value & Access (GV&A) colleagues, helping to develop and execute their RWE strategies. As a member of the core HEOR Analytics group, individuals will have access to real-world databases in-licensed across Client and Client and act as the stewards of Clients best practices, standards, and methodologies underlying the use of real-world data (RWD).
Job Description:
1. Conduct analyses and develop specifications for descriptive and complex statistics in studies using RWD for HEOR research questions.
2. Conduct analyses to inform parameters for economic models.
3. In collaboration with HEOR leads select an appropriate internal database(s) to address research questions.
4. Develop and QC TFLs for protocols/reports/manuscripts from RWE research conducted to assess the value of Client therapies using RWD (e.g. claims and EHR).
5. QC programming for descriptive and complex studies in RWD.
6. Work with epidemiologists and HEOR scientists to generate study measures in RWD.
7. Assist in developing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAP) for descriptive and complex studies using RWD, including claims and EHR.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 7+ years of strong statistical programming (such as SAS) and analytical experience with Masters Degree in public health, epidemiology, health economics or related discipline; or
2. 5+ years of strong statistical programming (such as SAS) and analytical experience with PharmD or PhD
3. Knowledge of real-world data and experience in observational research study design, execution, and communication
4. Experience in HEOR, medical affairs, managed markets, healthcare consulting or other pharmaceutical/biotech industry work or research.
5. Strong track record of analysis of RWD
6. Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing, diverse, and matrix environment
7. Formal training in Programming and demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis programs commonly used in life sciences (e.g. SAS, R, SQL)
8. Excellent analytic and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
1. PhD in public health, epidemiology, health economics, or related discipline
2. PharmD with fellowship in health economics or related discipline
3. 2+ years of experience in CRO/consultation with client engagement responsibilities
4. Experience in developing programs for lines of therapy in oncology studies
