Phlebotomist I

Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I – Phlebotomist)
Location: Miami, FL 33136 
Duration: 4 months (temp to hire)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM 
           Rotational Saturday at a different site, 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM

The PSR I is the first point of contact for patients, responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing them for laboratory testing. This role requires professionalism, excellent phlebotomy skills, and a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection, including pediatric and geriatric patients

• Prepare and process specimens according to established procedures

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and build trust

• Complete accurate documentation and maintain patient confidentiality

• Perform daily activities under supervisor direction, on time and with accuracy

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and professionalism with patients and colleagues

• Flexibility to cover additional hours, weekends, holidays, on-call, or overtime as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)

• Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, WA)

• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (required)

• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (preferred)

• Customer service experience in retail or service settings (preferred)

• Keyboard/data entry proficiency (required)

• Strong phlebotomy skills across diverse patient populations

• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment

• Must live within a 20–25 minute commute of the work location

• Punctuality and attendance adherence strictly enforced
