Phlebotomist I
Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I – Phlebotomist)
Location: Miami, FL 33136
Duration: 4 months (temp to hire)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Rotational Saturday at a different site, 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Overview:
The PSR I is the first point of contact for patients, responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing them for laboratory testing. This role requires professionalism, excellent phlebotomy skills, and a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and specimen collection, including pediatric and geriatric patients

Prepare and process specimens according to established procedures

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and build trust

Complete accurate documentation and maintain patient confidentiality

Perform daily activities under supervisor direction, on time and with accuracy

Demonstrate organizational commitment and professionalism with patients and colleagues

Flexibility to cover additional hours, weekends, holidays, on-call, or overtime as needed
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
-
Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (required)
-
1+ years of phlebotomy experience (preferred)
-
Customer service experience in retail or service settings (preferred)

Keyboard/data entry proficiency (required)
Skills & Requirements:

Strong phlebotomy skills across diverse patient populations
-
Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment
-
Must live within a 20–25 minute commute of the work location

Punctuality and attendance adherence strictly enforced
