Medical Laboratory Scientist
Job Location: Irving, TX
Job Duration: 2+ Months (possibility of extension/ Temp to Hire)
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 1:00pm - 9:30pm
Job Overview:
We are looking for a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician to perform high-complexity testing, ensure accuracy in lab operations, and uphold safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform specimen handling, processing, and testing per lab SOPs

Analyze and release test results accurately and on time
-
Document QC, maintenance, calibrations, and proficiency testing
-
Follow regulatory guidelines (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)

Report critical/STAT results as per protocol
-
Troubleshoot and escalate testing issues as needed
-
Maintain lab cleanliness, reagent labeling, and inventory
-
Participate in training, audits, and safety sessions

Support other lab staff and customer inquiries when required

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
-
BS in Medical Technology (preferred), or BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology, or related field

MLT or MLS certification required.

1+ year of clinical lab experience in high-complexity testing (preferred)

Foreign degrees require credential evaluation (IERF); U.S. degrees need original transcripts

Must meet national and state licensure requirements.

Familiar with lab information systems and computer skills

Strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to handle confidential data
