Job Summary:
- Responsible for managing and executing the Company’s IT General Controls (ITGC) testing program in support of SOX compliance on behalf of management.
- Acts as a key liaison between IT, IT Risk Management, SOX PMO, Internal Audit, and External Audit to ensure high-quality and well-coordinated SOX execution.
- Performs hands-on testing, reviews work of junior resources, ensures evidence quality, and tracks remediation activities.
- Supports IT audits, risk assessments, and Internal Audit initiatives during non-SOX periods.
Key Responsibilities:
ITGC SOX Testing Execution:
- Lead end-to-end execution of ITGC SOX testing including planning, walkthroughs, test of design, and test of operating effectiveness.
- Cover key control areas:
- Logical Access (user provisioning, privileged access, access reviews)
- Change Management
- IT Operations (job scheduling, backups, incident management)
- Ensure alignment with SOX 404 requirements and external audit expectations.
- Review ITGC documentation, evidence, and testing conclusions for accuracy and audit readiness.
- Identify control deficiencies and support remediation planning.
- Serve as primary contact for ITGC interactions with IT Risk Management, SOX PMO, and External Auditors.
- Coordinate walkthroughs, testing schedules, and evidence requests.
- Escalate risks and issues proactively to avoid surprises.
- Manage and review work performed by Co-Ops or junior staff.
- Provide guidance on testing methodologies, documentation, and evidence standards.
- Ensure adherence to SOX timelines and consistent testing quality.
- Identify and implement improvements in ITGC testing processes.
- Support updates to ITGC scope, risk assessments, and testing strategies.
- Stay current with evolving SOX and ITGC standards and best practices.
- Support IT audits and integrated audits.
- Conduct risk assessments and advisory reviews.
- Assist with Internal Audit initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in IT audit, IT SOX compliance, or IT risk advisory.
- Strong knowledge of ITGC and SOX 404 requirements.
- Experience planning, executing, and reviewing ITGC testing.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with external auditors and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience overseeing junior resources.
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact with senior IT and Finance leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Consulting or Big Four experience preferred.
- Life Sciences industry experience preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, or CIA preferred.

- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaborator with the ability to build relationships across IT, Finance, and Audit teams.
