Role Overview:
This contractor will serve as a Product Owner within our Agile/SAFe environment, focusing on backlog management, workflow design, and stakeholder alignment. The role is critical to ensuring continuity in our enrollment domain and supporting the scaling of our Appian program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business needs
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and testers to drive delivery
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and PI planning
• Ensure traceability from business requirements through to test cases and demos
• Support UAT and formally accept stories once criteria are met
Required Experience:
• Proven Product Owner experience in Agile/SAFe environments
• Hands-on Appian expertise (workflow design, backlog management, UAT)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in large, complex, and regulated environments—ideally healthcare or enrollment workflows
