Position Summary:
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Technical Assistant to support the successful execution of Loose Tube Equipment Conversion project (Ranger) by providing technical, administrative, and operational support.
- The Project Technical Assistant will work closely with the project team, assisting in project planning, coordination, documentation, and technical implementation tasks.
- This role is ideal for individuals with a strong technical aptitude, organizational skills, and a passion for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Support
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure that project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Provide technical input and support during project design and execution phases.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
- Compile and analyze data to generate reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation of project changes, risks, and issues.
- Support the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of technical systems or equipment as required by the project.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with the technical team.
- Assist in the development and testing of project prototypes or systems.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and project management.
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Respond to inquiries and provide updates to team members and stakeholders.
- Support the procurement of project-related materials and equipment.
- Track project expenses and assist with budget management.
- Maintain and organize project files and records.
- Track project schedule and coordinate for corrective actions if behind
Required Qualifications:
1. Education
- Bachelor’s degree in [relevant field: Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline] or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical or project support role.
- Previous experience in optical cable manufacturing is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management tool MS Project.
- Data analysis, PowerPoint presentation, Excel data stratification/Pivot.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues and providing support.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
