Application System Analyst
Job Title: Application System Analyst
Location: 100% Remote
Expenses: Not Allowed

Job Summary
The Application System Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and supporting application systems based on user needs. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand current processes, define system requirements, and deliver effective technical solutions. The analyst also ensures proper documentation, supports system implementation, and contributes to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, test, implement, and support application systems and software programs
- Analyze user requests for new or enhanced systems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current workflows and define system requirements
- Develop system designs, specifications, and programming guidelines
- Create and maintain documentation for program logic, development, coding, and fixes
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and implementation issues with ownership
- Participate in risk assessments and assist in root cause analysis
- Ensure adherence to change management policies and procedures
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and promote customer service excellence
- Offer technical leadership by evaluating current vs. future system states and recommending improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in application systems analysis or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience across the full SDLC (planning, design, testing, implementation, support)
- Experience in requirements gathering and system design
- Experience working on integrated system implementations (multiple phases)
