Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Celebration, FL 34747
Duration: 22 Months
Work Model: Onsite at least once per week (Tuesdays; subject to change)
Position Overview
- The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will design, develop, and sustain high-quality processes and automation to address engineering gaps and growth.
- Using an “integration before invention” strategy, the engineer will identify points of failure in guest experiences and deliver effective tooling for Application and Operations teams.
- The goal is to improve efficiency, prevent issues before they occur, and ensure a seamless technology experience for Guests, Cast Members, and Crew Members.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive adoption of DevOps culture across engineering and development teams.
- Design, build, and support enterprise-scale products and platforms.
- Architect and maintain development pipelines; automate infrastructure and operations.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and telemetry for high reliability.
- Ensure best practices for system security, performance, capacity management, and data protection.
- Administer Windows, Linux, and cloud environments with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Lead technical projects and ensure smooth, timely delivery.
- Collaborate with Security Operations teams to design and implement secure solutions.
- Apply modern CI/CD practices with platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, and Harness.
- Engineer automation and visibility instrumentation to improve operational excellence.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously enhance team capabilities.
- Document system architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
- Strong systems administration experience (Windows, Linux, and Cloud).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Harness).
- Proficiency with configuration management tools (Ansible, Group Policy).
- Programming/scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Applied understanding of observability and monitoring principles.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across systems, networks, and applications.
- Experience in building reliable, scalable enterprise systems.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in agile environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in leading technical projects and fostering cross-team collaboration.
- Broad knowledge of full-stack architectures with ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
- Experience integrating with commercial and open-source monitoring/telemetry platforms.
- Proficiency with modern code-management practices (branching, merging, peer code review).
