This hands-on role will focus on developing digital measurement programs and product characterization for the WATCHMAN device—a high-priority project in development. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and technicians in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated, collaborative, and creative Process Technician to join our high-performing Process Development team. This hands-on role will focus on developing digital measurement programs and product characterization for the WATCHMAN device—a high-priority project in development. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and technicians in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support dimensional measurement methods for medical device products.
- Interpret device, tooling, and component prints to determine inspection requirements.
- Perform pass/fail assessments based on measurement results and prepare data analysis using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, conditional formatting, basic statistics).
- Assist in process development experiments, including varying inputs and testing outputs.
- Program and operate digital measurement systems including (but not limited to) Keyence IM/LM/VHX, Cognex, SmartProduct.
- Apply GD&T principles and vision tools (e.g., pattern matching, datum alignment) in measurement recipes.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment to support project goals.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Hands-on experience with digital measurement systems
- Experience in a regulated industry (medical device strongly preferred)
- Candidates with digital measurement system experience and medical device background will be prioritized
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience programming and operating:
- Keyence IM/LM/VHX
- Cognex cameras/software
- SmartProduct systems
- Familiarity with fully automated and operator-assisted inspection processes
- Strong understanding of vision systems, inspection logic, and GD&T
- Experience in Operations, New Product Development, or Nitinol Manufacturing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Experience with:
- Test Method Validation
- Gauge R&R
- Minitab or similar statistical tools
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a cross-functional, collaborative environment
Quality Systems Responsibilities:
- Integrate quality compliance into all aspects of work
- Adhere strictly to regulatory and quality system requirements
