Phlebotomist II

Shift: 7AM-4P M- F W/ROTATIONAL SATURDAYS
Duration: 3 Months
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while performing high-quality blood collection and specimen preparation for laboratory testing. This role requires strong communication, accuracy, and professionalism while maintaining patient trust and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture, capillary, and butterfly blood collections on patients of all ages, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.

Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing according to established protocols and safety standards.

Verify patient identity and demographic information; ensure specimen labeling accuracy in the patient’s presence.

Maintain required records, logs, and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Create a positive and professional environment, promoting trust and confidence with patients and coworkers.

Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols.

Support multiple collection sites as needed, with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage.

Utilize EMR and data entry systems accurately for patient information and specimen tracking.

Represent the organization’s values while upholding a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA).

1–3 years of recent phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Prior experience in a Patient Service Center or healthcare setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (as applicable).

Proficiency in data entry and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
