Phlebotomist I

Location: Windcrest, TX
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the company to patients, whether they visit for routine health checks or critical diagnostic needs. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while adhering to established procedures. The Phlebotomist I ensures patient comfort, builds trust, and maintains confidentiality throughout the process.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
• Accurately label and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients and deliver excellent customer service.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold company values.

• Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA).

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency in keyboard/data entry required.
