Job Description: 100% onsite at o Chaska, Minnesota
Shift: Monday Friday during normal business hours. Core hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm, but can be flexible around these times to fill an 8hr shift to meet 40 hours per week schedule.

Objectives:
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) works with Product Management, Process Development Engineering, Procurement, R&D, and Instrument Manufacturing Operations to improve the quality of purchased materials, starting with ensuring specifications and supplier requirements are clear, obtainable, and well documented. The SQE strives to ensure supplier's processes are capable of consistently meeting specifications and manages the First Article Inspection Process. The SQE works closely with Incoming Inspection and manufacturing operations to investigate and resolve nonconforming material issues.
Key objectives are:
Investigates and resolves supplier nonconformances
Drive robust corrective actions with suppliers
Department Based Miscellaneous Duties:
Provides support and subject matter expertise during PSP and Kaizen events.
Supports quality improvement efforts.
Report on assigned Key Performance Indicators at Daily Management.
Performs other projects and job-related functions as assigned.
Follows safety procedures as applicable.
Crucial Attributes:
Strong continuous improvement mindset, with a positive can-do attitude, and the wisdom to patiently explain supplier and compliance limitations.
Ability to communicate promptly, clearly, and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to work independently, within a team and leading teams to solve problems and improve processes.
Comfortable gathering data and insights from the manufacturing floor, other departments, and external resources.
Assertive change agent, capable of thinking out of the box to satisfy specification and compliance standards while cross-functionally collaborating to improve Quality Management practice and procedures.
Qualification Requirements:
Required Degree/Certifications: Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in materials science, chemical engineering, Chemistry or other science related discipline. Experience in Manufacturing or Quality Assurance Experience a plus.
Understanding of different manufacturing processes, i.e. CNC machining, injection molding, extrusions, stamping, etc.
Knowledge of and hands-on experience with product drawings, specifications, measurement tools, and metrology.
Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability and Quality Control Plans desired.
Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) certificates are desired.
Training and qualifications in specific to the role are provided during assignment.
