Phlebotomist I
Location: Ocala, FL, 34471
Shift: 6am - 3 pm w/rotational Saturdays
Duration: 5 Months
Overview:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, providing a positive and professional experience for patients during their health visits. This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining compliance with all safety, accuracy, and confidentiality standards. The PSR I builds patient trust by performing procedures with compassion, precision, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily operational duties accurately and on schedule under the supervision of the area supervisor.

Create and maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff.

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing with confidence, following all established procedures.

Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and commitment to process excellence.

Uphold strict confidentiality and maintain accuracy in handling patient information.

Represent the company with professionalism and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Proven ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric venipuncture.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent – Required
-
Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant, Paramedic) – Preferred

Phlebotomy certification – Preferred (Required in CA, NV, and WA)
Experience:
-
Minimum 6 months of experience required; 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.

Proficiency in keyboard and data entry required.
Additional Details:
-
Candidate must list home city and commute time on resume.
-
Pay rate is based on verified, direct experience (overlapping roles not double-counted).

Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite (personal vehicle required; rideshare/bus not acceptable).

Must consistently arrive on time and remain for the full shift.
-
Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.

Candidates should reside within a 20–25 minute commute of the assigned location.
