Pre-Analytical Assistant
Location: West Hills, CA
Duration: 3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday - Friday: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am
Pay rate: $22.34/hr. on W2
Key Responsibilities

Sort, rack, centrifuge, aliquot, store, and deliver specimens to the laboratory.

Operate specimen sorters (may include archive mode).

Identify and resolve issues with specimens, missing information, or handling.

Understand compliance regulations related to test ordering.

Complete documentation accurately and on time.

Support staffing needs including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Learn additional Tech Ops and Specimen Processing functions as required.
Requirements / Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
-
Minimal data entry skills.

Good organizational skills.

Understanding of specimen types and test requirements.

Medical background preferred (including medical terminology).

Previous production environment experience preferred.

Familiarity with mainframe computers preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.

Flexibility with work schedule.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Work in a biohazard environment following safety requirements.

Maintain a neat work area (5S standards).
-
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs.; maneuver carts/racks.
