Job Title: Scheduling & Timekeeping Lead
Location: Hemlock, MI (Onsite)
Duration: 8+ Months (Possibility of Extension)

Position Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday, First Shift (Work week may exceed 40 hours)
 
Position Overview:

  • The Scheduling & Timekeeping Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations of scheduling and timekeeping teams. This role reports directly to the Plant Operations Manager and ensures timelines, payroll accuracy, and operational goals are achieved. The position requires strong coordination, leadership, and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
  • Oversee and organize daily tasks for scheduling and timekeeping teams
  • Ensure operational timelines and deliverables are met
  • Review and validate time data to ensure payroll readiness
  • Conduct audits and spot checks of schedules and time entries
  • Address minor scheduling delays and implement solutions
  • Motivate and guide team members to meet time-sensitive objectives
  • Drive performance metrics and KPI implementation
 
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support projects assigned by operations leadership
  • Assist with process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
Work Schedule:
  • Full-time contract role
  • Monday–Friday, first shift
  • Work week may exceed 40 hours based on operational needs
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience leading teams toward common goals
  • Experience in scheduling and/or timekeeping functions
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred
 
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of scheduling and timekeeping best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office tools
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Excellent attention to detail in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and changing environments
