Job Description – Patient Service Representative (Growth into Phlebotomist Role)
- We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our team with the opportunity to grow into a Phlebotomist role within 6–12 months once trained.
- This position is ideal for candidates who demonstrate longevity in their roles and are looking to grow their skills with the company for the long term, not just until “something better” comes along.
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken) without the need for a translator.
- Willingness to learn phlebotomy as part of career development.
- Strong commitment to patient care, customer service, and teamwork.
- Assist patients in the lobby with self-service kiosk check-in or handheld tablet sign-in, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Support patient inquiries, provide accurate information, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Perform PSC front office duties including data entry, insurance verification and billing, payment collection, clerical tasks, and ordering supplies.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Provide coverage for staff breaks and high-volume times, with opportunities to cross-train as PSR I.
- Handle phone calls, patient orders, and customer concerns with professionalism.
- Assist with stocking supplies and complete special projects as needed.
