Job Location: Westmont, IL
Duration: 2-3 months
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm every other Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm with day off during week
Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the first point of contact for patients, creating a welcoming and professional environment. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and providing patients with clear, compassionate explanations of procedures. The PSR I ensures accuracy, safety, and confidentiality while representing the organization with integrity and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff.

Confidently perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient specimens and interactions.

Provide excellent patient care by creating an atmosphere of trust and comfort while explaining procedures.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Exhibit leadership behaviors by focusing on process excellence, patient confidentiality, and accuracy of information.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Proficient phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
Education & Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience:

Minimum of 6 months of experience in phlebotomy REQUIRED; 1+ years preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or healthcare settings preferred.
-
Keyboarding and data entry experience required.
