Assembly Operator
Job Title: Assembly Operator
Location: Newburyport, MA 01950
Duration: 3 + Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 2nd shift
Pay Range: $19.50 - $22.00/hr. on W2
Job Description:
Operate manual, automatic, and semi-automatic microelectronics assembly equipment, performing tasks such as die and wafer processing, chip-and-wire assembly, component assembly, screening, visual inspection, measurement, and sorting of semiconductor devices. This role also includes Quality Assurance inspection responsibilities to ensure products meet Military and JEDEC standards.
Essential Functions:
- Operate microelectronics assembly equipment under supervision.
- Inspect die and packages according to Military and JEDEC standards using various magnification tools.
- Follow detailed specifications, reaction paths, and verbal/written instructions accurately.
- Use hand tools to carefully handle delicate components without causing damage.
- Train team members on equipment operation and assembly processes.
- Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready workstations.
- Utilize computer systems for product tracking and data entry.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
