Phlebotomist II
Location: Colorado Springs CO
Duration: 2months
Shift: M - F 8am - 5pm
Job Summary:
The PSR II serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients during routine health visits or significant health decisions. This role requires skilled and safe blood specimen collection, ensuring patient trust and comfort. The PSR II follows established procedures, maintains accuracy, confidentiality, and demonstrates leadership behaviors while promoting process excellence. Assignments may include work at doctors’ offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and timely under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional environment for patients and staff.

Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens confidently, following established protocols.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm accurate tube labeling.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and patient interactions.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Exhibit excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric specimen collection.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Adhere to company policies including dress code, employee health & safety, and guiding principles.

Make sound decisions following established procedures and exercise good judgment.

Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.

Travel and flexible hours required to cover multiple locations on short notice.

Manage multiple priorities effectively in a high-volume setting.

Demonstrate superior customer focus, open and transparent communication, adaptability, and business knowledge.
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience.
