Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift
Duartion: 2 months
Location: Huntington NY
Shift: M-F 7-3:30pm every other Saturday 7-12pm
Pay range: $21/hr on W2
Job Overview:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company to patients, whether they are visiting as part of routine health care or for more significant diagnostic services. This role is responsible for skillfully drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
The PSR I plays a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and trustworthy environment for patients. They must ensure the accuracy, safety, and confidentiality of all patient interactions and samples, and consistently demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.

Draw blood samples using proper techniques, including with a straight needle.

Maintain and update all required records and documentation accurately.

Use EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for patient data entry.

Provide excellent customer service while ensuring patient comfort and confidence.

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including for pediatric and geriatric patients.

Must be flexible and available based on staffing needs, which may include:

Weekends, Holidays, On-call shifts, Overtime

Education & Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience:

Minimum: 6 months of related experience.
