Agile Practitioner
Role: Agile Practitioner
Location: Charlotte, NC or Client, NY preferred. Remote candidates across the U.S. will be considered; must support EST time zone.
Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Overtime not anticipated.
Travel: Limited travel (~10%) to Charlotte, NC or Client, NY may be required for project workshops or key delivery events. Advance notice will be provided.
Interview Process: One round panel video interview; second round possible if needed.
Assignment Duration: One year anticipated, with the possibility of extension based on project demand.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Agile Practitioner to lead the delivery of an Identity implementation. The role is ideal for a product-focused delivery leader with hands-on experience implementing enterprise platforms, understanding product-centric delivery models, and operating effectively in Agile and Scrum environments.
The successful candidate will take ownership of product delivery outcomes, proactively manage risks and dependencies, engage business and technical stakeholders, and ensure solutions are delivered in alignment with Clients quality, compliance, and PMO governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project & Product Delivery Ownership
- Facilitate end-to-end delivery of the Identity program, ensuring Product, schedule, budget, quality, and value objectives are met.
- Drive accountability for product delivery outcomes, including roadmap execution, feature delivery, and operational readiness.
- Manage distinctions between product-based delivery (roadmaps, backlogs, continuous value delivery) and traditional project execution (milestones, phase gates, funding cycles).
- Ensure alignment with enterprise PMO standards while enabling Agile and product-centric ways of working.
2. Identity Implementation Leadership
- Manage Identity deployments and enhancements supporting migration from Microsoft Identity Manager to Microsoft Entra.
- Deliverables include:
- Advanced identity lifecycle management workflows
- Enhanced integration capabilities with authoritative data sources for human and non-human identities
- Improved access governance controls
- Centralized identity governance dashboard for real-time visibility
- Strategic roadmap development
- Entra ID governance configuration and HR system connectivity
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including functional teams, solution architects, system integrators, and internal IT partners.
- Ensure platform configurations, data models, integrations, and releases align with IT processes and business outcomes.
3. Agile & Scrum Execution
- Lead delivery using Agile and Scrum methodologies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Partner closely with Product Owners and Business Leads to prioritize features, manage product backlogs and roadmaps, and deliver incremental business value.
- Support teams transitioning from project-centric to product-centric delivery models.
4. Project Leadership & Governance
- Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, product roadmaps, milestones, and resource plans.
- Own and manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and ensure timely mitigation and escalation.
- Provide clear, concise delivery status reporting for executives and Information Security leadership.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
- Engage senior leaders and product stakeholders to maintain alignment, momentum, and adoption.
6. Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to Clients quality, compliance, and governance standards.
- Promote continuous improvement through Agile retrospectives, lessons learned, and delivery metrics.
- Ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria and support operational readiness and user adoption.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 7+ years of IT project and/or product management experience
- Proven experience delivering enterprise products, including postgo-live evolution and continuous improvement
- Experience delivering security solutions
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in large enterprises
Education:
- Associate's Degree with relevant experience (minimum required)
- Bachelors Degree preferred in a technical field
Certifications:
- Agile and/or Scrum certification required (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent); active preferred
- PMP certification (desired)
Preferred Experience:
- Product delivery or product management in enterprise IT environments
- Experience working with system integrators and SaaS vendors
- Familiarity with Agile lifecycle management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery models
- Ability to manage delivery plans, product roadmaps, backlogs, and RAID effectively
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and escalation capabilities
- Detail-oriented with strong commitment to deliver quality and outcomes
- Ability to lead without authority and influence across organizational boundaries
