Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possible Extension)
 
Schedule Notes: 5x8s rotation 5 pm - 1:30 am shift
 
Job Summary:
Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. May perform phlebotomy as needed.
 
Education:

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.

 
Required Certification & Licensure:

• Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).

 
Schedule Notes:

• Candidate will be working on the Chemistry side of the lab.
• REQUIRED: Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
• Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
• Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in this role or similar.
• Experience with Client equipment (with AU system experience preferred).
• Candidates with Sunquest LIS experience and automation experience are preferred.
