Shift: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5 days/week, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call, float required
Schedule Notes:
- LOCAL Candidates ONLY
- Traveling throughout 2 office locations required:
- Paramus
- Montvale
- Float Requirement: Yes, float throughout the two locations as needed; reporting location will be shared in advance
- Required Hard Skills: EMR knowledge, phlebotomy, infection control, sterilization, medical terminology
- Required Soft Skills: effective communication, critical thinking, adaptability

Work Setting: Orthopedic Specialty (Outpatient Clinic)
Requirements / Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures
- EMR experience (required)
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
Certifications & Licensure:
- AHA BLS (required)
- One of the following certifications required:
- CMA – NHA
- CMA – NCCT
- CMA – AAMA
- RMA – AMT
- RMA – NAHP
- AMCA
- NCMA
Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant assists in providing clinical care to patients under the supervision of a professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner and performs clerical office duties.
Duties & Responsibilities (FULL – de-duplicated, nothing removed):
- Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments
- Prepare patients for physician visits and assist during examinations
- Take and record vital signs in patient charts
- Understand proper function and care of special equipment
- Perform EKG, PFT, audiometry, and Titmus (vision) tests after competency validation
- Perform UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and other lab testing after competency validation
- Maintain patient records, files, and reports as directed
- Assist with billing and collection procedures as needed
- Use computer software to maintain office systems
- Identify and respond to confidentiality requirements
- Assess patient population needs (age, culture, language, disabilities) and adapt care accordingly
- Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and caregivers based on their level of understanding
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
- Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
Physical Requirements / Work Conditions:
- Lift minimum of 5 lbs
- Push/pull minimum of 10 lbs
- Stand for extended periods (minimum 6 hours/day)
