Location: Durham, NC 27703 Hybrid
Position Summary:
The Medical Affairs Quality Education Design Specialist designs and delivers impactful training programs aligned with Client s Non-Medical Device Quality Management System (QMS) for Medical Affairs. This hybrid role supports both in-office and remote work, requires 8:00-5:00 PM 3-4 days per week at a maximum of 24 hours per week, and includes up to 20% travel to support global business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Design & Development
Create and implement educational programs for hybrid delivery (virtual and in-person).
Develop e-learning modules and multimedia content using tools like Articulate Storyline or Captivate.
Administer and maintain content in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Needs Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct learning needs analyses and recommend targeted interventions.
Measure program effectiveness and optimize based on feedback and analytics.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and content.
Support educators and facilitators with instructional technology and best practices.
Compliance & Accessibility
Ensure all materials meet ADA, EEO, and regulatory standards.
Apply adult learning theory and inclusive teaching practices.
Performance Metrics
Design and maintain dashboards to track Medical Affairs performance within QMS.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in instructional design or adult learning required.
Minimum 2 years in the medical device or regulated industry (preferred).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in ADDIE, SAM, Bloom s taxonomy (preferred).
Skilled in e-learning authoring tools, LMS platforms, and multimedia production required.
Project Management:
Strong organizational and collaboration skills required.
Familiarity with project management tools; PMP certification is a plus.
Work Environment:
Hybrid role based in Durham, NC, with remote flexibility.
Maximum 24 hours/week required.
Up to 20% travel may be required.
Occasional nights/weekends to support global business activities required.
