Duration: 12 Months+
Shift: 1st Shift
Team looking to hire 2 RAs, one to support Special Stains, and the other to support assay activities for an upcoming staining platform.
Key aspects:
Position #1: For the Special Stains position, preference would be for a chemistry degree or chemistry experience. Experience in analytical techniques and chemical formulation is preferred.
Position #2: For the Lotus position (new Client staining platform), preference for some type of biology degree.
Histology or IHC/ISH experience would be a plus for either position.
For both positions, ideal candidate would need at least 2 years of experience in a regulated industry.
Key skills for both are excellent teamwork, documentation skills and attention to detail.
Overall Position Summary:
Responsible for conducting laboratory experimentation and other scientific activities to support Ventana projects. Exercises technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies. Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses. Presents and discusses results of experiments within department and project team. Follows company policies and procedures for GMP, GLP, Design Control and others as appropriate. Maintains complete and accurate laboratory documentation and electronic files. May act as principal investigator in conducting own experiments.
Responsible for tissue staining and screening on VENTANA automated slide stainers. Actively engaged in feasibility, characterization, verification and validation studies for immunohistochemistry/in situ hybridization or Special Stains assays.
Thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional team with excellent time management skills.
Participates in SAFe/Agile planning and report outs. Experience with general product development process in a highly regulated industry, preferably in vitro diagnostics. Participates in cross-functional product characterization studies. Experience in analytical techniques and chemical formulation is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Designs experimental protocols with minimal supervision.
Executes bench experiments; makes detailed and general observations and analyzes data.
Prepares technical reports, summaries and quantitative analyses.
Maintains complete and accurate records.
Normally receives general directions on routine work and detailed directions on new assignments.
Makes suggestions to improve work processes and laboratory environment.
Works on problems of diverse Product in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
May participate in cross functional technical teams such as a failure investigation team.
Works well in a team environment by being a productive project team member, suggesting creative solutions to problems and providing input to project planning.
Trains others in areas of expertise.
Troubleshoots problems and institutes corrective action.
Prepares and presents experimental procedures and results in group and project teams.
Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required in Biology or Chemistry or equivalent Life Sciences degree
