Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Naples, FL, 34104
Duration: 6 Months
Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:00 pm & Rotational Saturday 6:30 am - 10:30 am.
Overview:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is responsible for performing high-quality phlebotomy and patient service functions in clinics, patient service centers, or other assigned locations. This role requires advanced specimen collection skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to provide excellent patient care while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, geriatric, and forensic specimen collections accurately and safely.

Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols.

Verify patient demographics, obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture, and confirm labeling accuracy in the patient’s presence.

Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation.

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Promote patient trust by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and providing superior customer service.

Cover multiple locations as needed (floater role) with minimal notice, while maintaining punctuality and professionalism.

Support organizational goals by adhering to company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors, demonstrating openness, professionalism, and teamwork.

Manage multiple priorities in high-volume settings while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
-
Ability to produce accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Advanced phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, venipuncture, and capillary collections.

Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Strong decision-making skills within established procedures and guidelines.

Reliable personal transportation (car required). Rideshare or public transit is not acceptable.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required for floater/travel roles.

Ability to travel between multiple sites (mileage reimbursement provided between sites).

Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

Proficiency in computer systems, data entry, and electronic medical records.
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical training (Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or related) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Experience:
-
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

2 years of experience in a patient service center or healthcare environment preferred.

Customer service experience in retail, healthcare, or service environment strongly preferred.

Experience with data entry and medical software systems required.
