Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Stuart, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (with possibility of extension)
Shift:
- Monday to Friday: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Every Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the organization, responsible for collecting quality blood specimens from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. This role requires professionalism, accuracy, and compassion, ensuring patients feel confident and comfortable throughout the process. The PSR I must follow established procedures and demonstrate leadership behaviors, confidentiality, and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established protocols.
- Accurately document and maintain required records.
- Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive image of the organization.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure a comfortable experience.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients (Preferred)
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment (Preferred)
- Keyboard/data entry proficiency (Required)
Additional Requirements:
- Must reside within a 20–25 minute commute of the job site.
- Reliable transportation is mandatory (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
- Must be punctual and available for the full scheduled shift.
- Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
- Resume must include home city and commute time to job site.
- Pay rate is based on years of direct experience (overlapping roles not counted twice).
