Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Palestine, TX 75801
Duration: 3 Months+ with possible extension
Shift: Days | Monday-Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm, no weekend or on-call
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Pay Range: $65 - $67 per hour. on W2
Job Summary:
Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders. Receives and record radiopharmaceuticals. Performs daily/weekly QC dose testing, Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures. Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology. Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures. Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation. Processes the images for radiologist/cardiologist review. Able to post process imaging within Xeleris and record information in Nemis. Can effectively utilizes the Electronic Health Record. Can perform NM and Treadmill stress test under director of the Cardiologist. Cleans room after every patient and work area on a routine basis

Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and evaluates patient nutritional care plans.
- Provides age-appropriate assessments of all patients identified at nutrition risk to include diabetes management and education per established timeframe/guidelines.
- Adapts nutrition plan to specific economic, social, cultural, and age-appropriate patient needs.
- Reassess patients at appropriate intervals and adjusts plan of care as warranted.
- Provides age appropriate education to support the nutritional plan of care.
- Assesses learning needs and readiness to learn for all patients/families.
- Participates in the development and review of education materials and department resources to meet the needs of the populations served.
Requirements:
- Must have 3 years recent Nuclear Med Tech experience in a hospital setting
- Must have ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT Registered, this must be attached to the submission
- Must have BLS certification must be attached to submission packet (Must be through the American Heart Association); RQI certifications will not be accepted
- Must be familiar with GEHC NM Infinia & NEMIS / Xeleris 5.0 equipment
- Must know how to perform Stress Echo and treadmill experience) – Will work side by side with Cardiologist or ACLS RN.
