Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract Duration: 8 weeks
Hours: 35 hours/week (7 hours/day, 5 days/week)
Department: Radiology – Ultrasonic Diagnosis
Pay Rate: $62/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs and assists in ultrasound examinations, supports radiologists, and ensures the proper care and maintenance of ultrasound equipment. This position requires both technical skill and patient care excellence, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Location: New York, NY

The Ultrasound Technologist performs and assists in ultrasound examinations, supports radiologists, and ensures the proper care and maintenance of ultrasound equipment. This position requires both technical skill and patient care excellence, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following department protocols.
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper safety precautions.
- Set up, clean, and perform minor adjustments on ultrasound machines.
- Ensure inventory of necessary supplies is maintained.
- Mentor and assist in the orientation of new ultrasound personnel.
- Capture and transfer diagnostic images to PACS and physicians' workstations.
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling exams and answering phones.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Certification:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Skilled in use of personal computers and relevant medical software
- Professional Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion
- Familiarity with office and administrative procedures
