Job Description:
As a member of the Client Healthineers Education and Workforce Solutions team you will have the opportunity to work as a Sonographer though our FlexForceTM program.
You will be assigned to Client customers (as needed) though the FlexForceTM Tech program to operate as a licensed echocardiography sonographer.

When deployed as a Sonographer, be able to function as a sonographer in performing examinations of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness.

General Imaging Sonographer
o Performing diagnostic general imaging ultrasound examinations according to AIUM and ACR guidelines for procedures and scanning protocols.
o Locating and imaging internal elements of the body, including blood vessels and organs, and identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions
o Responsible for providing a wide range of highly technical diagnostic exams including but not limited to: abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, abdominal and peripheral vascular, portable exams and interventional procedures.
o Knowledge of ultrasound physics and implementing knowledge to reduce image artifact.
o Ensuring patient safety, monitoring the patient for potentially dangerous physical and/or emotional change.
o Evaluating test results for clarity and accuracy
o Reviewing patient case studies with peers and physician
o Informing physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures
o Distributing completed test results to physicians and service providers
o Preparing diagnostic information for physician interpretation
o Maintaining patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed
o Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and work space
o Recognizing equipment malfunctions and readjusting equipment or requesting for system repair
o Instructing patients in pretest preparation, answering questions, and explaining procedures
o Compliance with Client, hospital and departmental policies and procedures
o Maintaining equipment according to Infection Control procedure
o Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in Client training programs
o Maintains current ARDMS registration to practice in all states in which services are performed
o Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members
o Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality
o Performs additional duties as required
o Interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous responsible, professional and ethical manner
o Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative
o Abide by all HIPAA standards for patient privacy
o Abide by all OSHA standards for safety regulations

BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. ARDMS Abdominal and OB/GYN certified
Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments.
Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
Typically 2+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
Must have excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Teaching/training experience preferred
Demonstrates a basic knowledge of computer skills.
Valid driver's license and good driving record is required
Willingness to travel extensively to support company goals, up to 95% of the time (nationwide).
Shift Requirements: Technologist(s) are to be available any eight (8) or ten (10) hour period from 7 am 8 pm Monday through Friday and includes eight (8) hours each weekend for a total of 40-hrs per week, plus up to sixteen (16) hours of call each week
