Ultrasound Technologist

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (OBGYN)
Location: New York, NY
Department: Radiology – OBGYN
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract Duration: 8 weeks
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day, 5 days/week)
Interview: In-Person Interview Required (No Exceptions)
Pay Rate: $56/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)

Role Overview:
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform or assist in OBGYN ultrasound examinations across all three trimesters. The role includes preparing patients, capturing diagnostic images, operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment, and supporting the Radiologist. This position requires a professional with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proven background in OBGYN sonography.

Qualifications:
Required Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology
  OR
• High School Diploma/G.E.D. AND completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography technical training program

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – RDMS)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Strong OBGYN experience across all three trimesters is required
• Vascular-only ultrasound techs will not be considered

Skills & Competencies:

• ARDMS registered
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
• Familiarity with administrative and office procedures
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion
