Duration: 3 months+ (possible extension)
Shift: 5:30 AM – 10:30 AM Mon – Fri. Weekdays + Every Other Weekend
Required: Phlebotomist Certificate
Pay range: $17 - $21/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and professional Phlebotomist I to join our detox clinic team on a part-time, temporary basis. This role focuses exclusively on urine specimen collection — phlebotomy experience is not a priority. The ideal candidate is mature, organized, and capable of maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a clinical setting. Candidates must be available to work weekdays and every other weekend.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Perform urine toxicology collections accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
- Have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection. Phlebotomy experience - pediatric and geriatric capillary and venipuncture - required.
- Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general
- Minimum of 6 months experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required: Phlebotomist Certificate.
- CT license preferred.
Skills:
- Keyboard/data entry.
- Customer services.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills to include paediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
